The areas of use of the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM are mainly in wildlife and sports photography. Since the subjects move quickly and mostly unpredictably, you need an autofocus that can meet these requirements. This is where the Canon RF 100-500mm Lens excels with its Dual Nano USM motors, which make the autofocus not only extremely fast and precise, but also virtually silent.
Excellent sharpness performance
The Canon RF 100-500mm is equipped with a Super UD lens, six UD lenses and a 5-stop image stabilizer. This minimizes blur and results in crisp, high-contrast images all the way to the edges, no matter the focal length. Aperture reflections and flare are largely minimized thanks to ASC coating.

With 9 built-in aperture blades, the Canon RF 100-500mm produces smooth and even bokeh throughout. The aperture can also be adjusted via the aperture ring.
Ergonomics & Weight
With the tripod clamp attached, the Canon RF 100-500mm weighs a good 1.5kg, which is not particulary light, but is quite average in the super-telephoto range. The length is just under 21cm when retracted. So it will be easy to transport in your backpack without any problems!

Ferne herangeholt
Dieses Objektiv ermöglicht sehr gute bis exzellente Aufnahmen von, insbesondere Tieren sowohl in freier Wildbahn als auch im Zoo. Die Bilder sind scharf und gut durchgezeichnet. Hinzukommt, dass man auch Pflanzen schon ab 1,2 m scharf abbilden kann. Trotz des hohen Anschaffungspreises kann ich dieses Objektiv weiterempfehlen. Auch der dazu passende 2fach Extender von Canon hilft beispielsweise Libellen scharf und formatfüllend abzubilden. Die Fluchtdistanz der Insekten wird dabei eingehalten.
