Thanks to the impressive resolution of this Lens, you will always get impressively sharp shots. The design of the optics comprises 25 lenses in 19 groups. The ARNEO and nanocrystal coating counteracts ghost images and stray light.
IMPRESSIVE PRECISION
The continuous speed of 1:2.8 enables fast focusing and precise control of depth of field across the entire zoom range. The autofocus performance is on a par with a first-class fixed focal length lens. The Lens also captures fast movements with maximum reliability. Electromagnetic aperture control enables high exposure consistency even at high frame rates.
EXCEPTIONAL CONTRAST
The first Lens to use ED and SR glass elements together to compensate for chromatic aberration. Coma correction is also excellent. In chromatic aberration correction, the blue (short-wave) part of the light spectrum is usually particularly difficult to handle. More effective compensation is now possible, resulting in sharper images and better contrast.
FELSENFEST
The Nikon image stabilizer (VR) enables exposure times to be increased by up to four stops, even when used with a teleconverter. In SPORT VR mode, fast-moving subjects are reliably tracked.
