Lens for the highest demands
The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 is a further development of the popular Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 lens to meet the highest demands of manual photography enthusiasts. The second generation of this Lens comes with a number of new features.

NEW:
Focus Lock and De-Click
Thanks to Focus Lock, long exposures and time lapses are also child's play: thanks to a separate ring, you can now lock the selected focus. This means that you can handle the camera without losing or unintentionally changing the selected focus. This function is particularly useful for astrophotography (astro-landscape and widefield), for example. Especially for long exposures, of which several are often taken in succession for later stacking, a reliably set focus is required. The function is just as useful for time-lapse photography, where the camera is sometimes focused on the same subject for one or two days.
The de-click function cancels the click stops of the aperture steps. The aperture can then be adjusted continuously, which enables precise, fine adjustment and is also very useful for film work. Simply turn the silver ring of the lens to "Click" or "Free", just as you need it.

New aperture, new design and weather protection
The aperture built into this 2nd generation Lens has 9 rounded blades instead of the previous 6. This makes it easier to create round highlights in the bokeh. Sun stars, which are created when the aperture is slightly open and a light source is in focus, also have 18 instead of 12 rays.
The exterior of the Lens has also been redesigned. The controls are easy to grip and dirt-repellent thanks to their shape. This Lens now also has a weather protection on the bayonet, which protects the inside from moisture and raindrops. Although this does not make it waterproof, it can still be used safely in rain or snow.

Unique perspectives
With an impressive angle of view of 115.7° on full format and 89.9° on APS-C, this Lens enables landscape photography as naturally as indoor photography. Thanks to the close focusing distance of 28 cm, almost no space is too small for good photos. The compact 14mm Samyang wide-angle lens produces unique shots. The Samyang Lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of wide-angle photography, but especially for astrophotography, landscape photography and indoor photography. The pronounced impression of depth of the wide-angle shots offers scope for creative photography. Thanks to the very good speed of F2.8, great shots are possible even in unfavorable lighting conditions.

High resolution for excellent optical quality
The outstanding imaging performance is thanks to the sophisticated optical system. This consists of 10 groups with 14 lenses and thus sets new standards. Particularly noteworthy are the special lenses: 1 aspherical lens, 1 aspherical hybrid lens, 1 ED lens and 3 HR lenses. These high-precision aspherical and high-refractive lenses minimize various imaging errors and produce a crystal-clear, crisp image. In particular, the excellent distortion correction must be mentioned, as well as the excellent resolution from the center to the edge. The fixed lens hood also prevents disturbing lateral light incidence and the associated lens reflections.
