As well as the cardboard box, the packing material in our parcels is also made entirely of paper.
And if not, it is recycled material from parcels we have received. We do not put any new packing material into circulation that is not paper.
The challenges we face:
As Foto Koch, we strive to optimize our processes and make them more sustainable wherever we have influence. One challenge is that we have no control over the production of the products themselves. Nevertheless, we try to influence the industry with the resources at our disposal and share our input. It is particularly difficult to achieve greater sustainability in the technology sector, as materials are used there that are simply not sustainable. Nevertheless, we are noticing a shift toward a greener future even within the industry.
Düsseldorf Climate Pact?We?re Partners!
Climate-neutral by 2035?with this goal in mind, the state capital of Düsseldorf, the Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), the Düsseldorf Chamber of Crafts, and the Düsseldorf District Craftsmen?s Association founded the “Düsseldorf Climate Pact with the Business Community.” This collaborative network supports companies on their journey toward a more climate-friendly and sustainable future.

Düsseldorf Climate Pact Foto KochCO2-Friendly Shipping with GoGreen Plus from Deutsche Post and DHL
We ship most orders using GoGreen Plus, the sustainability program from Deutsche Post and DHL. This allows us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from shipping (CO2e) by at least 95%.
How does it work?
Within their logistics network, Deutsche Post and DHL invest in alternative fuels and technologies, such as electric vehicles for transportation or heat pumps in buildings.
The resulting CO? reduction is allocated proportionally to your shipment, thereby reducing its carbon footprint. However, this does not necessarily mean that your specific shipment is physically transported by vehicles or via facilities that use these sustainable fuels or technologies.
