Thanks to the uniform positioning of the aperture/focus ring, changing lenses is quick and easy - the uniform weight distribution also means that gimbals do not need to be recalibrated and shooting can continue straight away. The compact size of 72 x 72 x 72 mm and the low weight of 280g make handling the lenses simple and easy. The smooth focus transmission is perfect for smooth transitions and the "manual" cine look. The AF is quiet, precise and without "focus pumping". At 24 mm, the lens has an ideal focal length for street, reportage and landscape photography.
Integrated tally lamp
This lens is the world's first auto-focus lens with this function: a small lamp on the front of the lens indicates whether recording is in progress, ensuring undisturbed video shooting. As soon as recording is started on the camera, the light automatically changes from green to red, signaling to everyone on set, both in front of and behind the camera, that recording is in progress. This makes the Lens ideal for confined spaces and small setups. It is also perfect for YouTubers, professional filmmakers and people who record themselves. The focus ring is suitable for use with Follow Focus for manual focusing. It is the world's first Lens to which an electronically controllable accessory can be attached. This option will be included with all products in the V-AF series.
8Ksupport and Color Tone
With this lens, limitless high image quality is guaranteed, as the new V-AF series supports resolutions of up to 8K. This makes the lens suitable for both current and future generations of cameras - and in a small and lightweight format that is well suited for use with gimbals and drones as well as for vlogging and shooting on the move. The lenses of all lenses in the new V-AF series are color-coordinated to avoid color shifts when changing lenses, which makes post-processing much easier. The nine aperture blades also ensure a natural bokeh. The V-AF series also offers a uniform form factor in terms of size and weight.
Custom Switch and Focus Hold Button
The V-AF lenses are equipped with the extremely useful functions typical of Samyang lenses, such as the Custom Switch and the Focus Hold Button, which can be used to control the aperture on the lens. The Focus Hold Button also provides focus lock and more individuality. The lens was developed for mirrorless Sony E-mount cameras (full-frame and APS-C) and cine cameras with an E-mount connection.
Protection against dirt and dust
Equipped for all (cinematic) adventures: the lens is protected against the ingress of dust, dirt or moisture in a total of six places, ensuring it can be used on location.

Submitted customer opinions and uploaded media are usually reviewed and published within a few working days. All transferable rights of use of the content provided by you are transferred to Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future partners and representatives (including but not limited to affiliated companies, service providers, search engines, employees, agencies, branches, joint ventures, suppliers). The content may be used, modified and published by the aforementioned parties at their own discretion without any restrictions in terms of time, content and location. Promotional use is also permitted. The content may be edited or deleted if it violates the guidelines for ratings and community media as well as these terms of use or if it makes sense for the respective purpose. You grant Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future partners and representatives, the unrestricted right to your customer opinion (rating text, nickname, star rating, recommendation, etc.) as well as to your media (e.g. images, videos, audio files, texts, documents, etc.; incl. the indication of the author, description, etc.) to use, change, store, delete, shorten, modify, adapt, translate, copy, pass on, sell and distribute worldwide in any form, any medium, in any technology. Personal data (e-mail address, address, contact details) will not be passed on to third parties.
You assume full responsibility for your content. You agree to indemnify Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future affiliates and agents for all costs, including attorneys' fees, any damages, consequential damages of any kind, claims and demands arising from your failure to comply with the Review and Community Media Guidelines and these Terms of Use.
