Product description for Nikon Z5 II + 24-105mm f/4-7.1

More flexibility. More range. More potential.
We are pleased to announce that with the new NIKKOR Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1, we are expanding our Z full-frame system with a lens that offers exactly what many customers are looking for: a lightweight, versatile and attractively priced all-round zoom for everyday use, travel and content creation.

The wide focal length range of 24 to 105mm covers almost every photographic situation - from landscapes and architecture to portraits, detail and close-ups.

This makes the lens the ideal "always-on" solution for beginners to full-frame photography as well as for experienced users who want to remain as flexible as possible on the go.

A real highlight is the outstanding close-up performance: with a short focusing distance at both ends of the zoom range and a reproduction ratio of 1:2, the lens opens up completely new creative possibilities - perfect for detail shots, food, travel storytelling or video.

With a weight of only approx. 350 g, the NIKKOR Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1 is pleasantly light and harmonizes ideally with compact Z full-frame cameras such as the Nikon Z5II.

Video creators also benefit: The fast, virtually silent autofocus works reliably with the subject recognition of the Z cameras - without annoying focus noise. The customizable setting ring ensures intuitive operation for photo and video.

Thanks to dust and drip water sealing, the Lens is ideally suited for travel and outdoor use.1

Dirk Jasper, Product Manager at Nikon Europe, comments:

"With the NIKKOR Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1, we are taking another step towards making dynamic full-frame photography accessible to even more people. For those just starting out in full-frame photography, this versatile, affordable zoom lens offers the flexibility and quality to try out new ideas and expand their creativity with confidence."

Key features: NIKKOR Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1

  • Versatile focal length range from 24 to 105 mm: The wide focal length range from wide-angle to medium telephoto is great for landscapes and cityscapes to interiors, portraits, detail shots and video.
  • Lightweight and easy to carry: This full-frame zoom lens weighs only approx. 350 g. In combination with the full-frame camera Z5II, the complete kit weighs only (approx.) 1050 g.
  • Outstanding close-ups: The magnification of 1:2 enables close-ups with harmoniously balanced background elements. The closest focusing distance is 20 cm at 24 mm and 28 cm at 105 mm.
  • Fast, silent autofocus: A high-speed stepping motor (STM) ensures smooth, whisper-quiet autofocus. It works perfectly with the subject perception of the Z cameras, without disturbing focusing noises in video recordings.

  • Perfect for traveling: The seal protects against dust and drops and ensures hassle-free transportation.1
  • New bayonet lens hood HB-93B: Available as an optional accessory. Minimizes stray light and reduces flare.
  • Budget-friendly: The NIKKOR Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1 zoom lens is available on its own and as a kit with the Nikon Z5II.
